Way Gone Wednesdays: Beastie Boys feat. Nas

Over two and a half years after the death of MCA (Adam Yauch) the video for "Too Many Rappers" has finally surfaced. R.I.P.

Madhouse Mondays: Run the Jewels 2

Last year, Killer Mike and El-P gave us Run the Jewels. It was raw, gritty and fun as hell. Just in time for Halloween, RTJ2 will be released on October 28th (on Nas' Mass Appeal label). Here's the first single. So gully.

Throwback Thursdays: Nas

Yesterday, Rhymesayers announced the lineup for their Soundset festival. The big name this year is none other than Nas. Looks like he'll be performing tunes from Illmatic (for it's 20th anniversary). Fine by me. Dig "Halftime" - one of my fav cuts from that album.

Madhouse Mondays: 40

I turned 40 this weekend. That's not a number that bothers me. Most of my heros are 40. Mos Def, Slug, Madlib, Nas. All of those cats are still kickin' up dust and so am I. I was surrounded by close friends and a lot of love this weekend. I'm truly blessed.

Madhouse Mondays: Nas

Nas is one of the greatest emcees to ever cuff the mic. This weekend, his pre-Illmatic demo tape surfaced. Nothing amateur about it. Dig it.
