Throwback Thursdays: Hit It Run

It's that time again. Sunday is Hit It Run at the Cowboy Monkey - the bi-annual holiday old school party. Founder DJ Kosmo will be joining us for the first time in 2 years (he handed me this series when his Red Bull gig put him out on the road). Also, DJ Delayney will be on the decks. Forecast calls for a good time. See you there.

Real Talk Tuesdays: The IDEAL DJs

This weekend I played the bi-annual Hit It Run old school party at the Cowboy Monkey. A tradition that spans over a decade. We had a last minute cancellation in the lineup so we reached out to The IDEAL DJs (Wesjile and Kow). They were not only excited to be on the bill, they brought the goodness with them. Do yourself a favor and check these guys out. It's always refreshing to see passionate cats out there doin' it.

Feel Good Fridays: Sun Stereo

Tonight I'm opening the Sun Stereo cd release show. This band has grown so much in the past year. Really starting to zero in on something unique. Dig this tripped out video and come to the show tonight. I'm on at 10pm sharp.

Throwback Thursdays: Hit It Run

The biggest party in C-U is about to come back around. On Sunday, May 27 myself, DJ Delayney and DJ Belly will throwdown with a 4 hour set of old school hip-hop, funk, soul & reggae. Founded by DJ Kosmo a decade ago, Hit It Run has become a staple for those looking to cut loose on Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends. Come on out. It's gonna get stanky.

Real Talk Tuesdays: C-Rayz Walz

My man C-Rayz Walz is out of the big house and back on the scene.  I met him last year when we both rocked a song at the Cowboy Monkey when Fred Wesley came to town.  Surreal.  Dig the full band version of "Musictakovah" below.
