Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 9:52AM It's over. After 8 years on the air, Mad Men ended this week. It was sometimes a little slow but offered up a great deal of wit, charm and sexy time. Probably among the best moments were the historically accurate timeline (MLK, Kennedy, Vietnam) and the spotlight on women in the workplace. Well done.

Friday, May 15, 2015 at 8:53AM Last night we lost blues legend B.B. King. He's been recording music since 1949. Here he is in 1950 where he had to record in the 'colored' YMCA in Memphis. R.I.P., Riley.

Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 8:08AM I recently copped the 1981 Juice Newton album Angel of the Morning - which includes "Queen of Hearts". I LOVED this song in my youth, still do. The production is on point. Crisp claps, slap-back delays. Go ahead, sing along.

Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 9:25AM African beatmaker Alexandre Francisco Diaphra used his surroundings to inspire his latest project, Diaphra's Blackbook of the Beats. Dig this artist at work.
