To be fair, I'm only "throwing back" to last weekend when I got up, listened to a bunch of 80's rap records and then made this beat. But you would never know that this wasn't straight outta 1983. Dig this vibe.

In case you didn't know, Tweedy is a family band of sorts. Dad Jeff Tweedy and son Spencer have been working on music together (which is pretty much the most adorable thing ever). The video for their debut single, "Low Key" was directed by Nick Offerman and features Michael Shannon, John Hodgman and a host of Chicago celebs. Dig it. 

My man Mingram turned me onto this Kelis song last night. Probably means I need to check out her new album, Food. Real talk? She's been churning out quality music long after the milkshake brought boys to her lawn. Give this a listen.
