Real Talk Tuesdays: Wet Hot American Summer
If you're not familiar with the 2001 classic Wet Hot American Summer get yourself educated because Netflix was smart enough to give us a brilliant 8-episode prequel. This is ridiculous. This is fun. This is ridiculous fun.
Madhouse Mondays: Porcupine Racetrack
Before Reno 911!, before Viva Variety, before cult comedies like Wet Hot American Summer there was a sketch comedy troupe called The State. Airing on MTV from 1993-95, The State launched the careers of several funny men and women (Michael Ian Black, Thomas Lennon, Ken Marino, Michael Showalter and Kerri Kenney among others). Their crowning acheivement, in my opinion, has always been the Oklahoma-esque, "Porucpine Racetrack". Enjoy.
