Spent the weekend with two of my closest friends making music at Blackbird Studio in Nashville. Amazing experience. Truly a magical place.

Madhouse Mondays: Springwater Supper Club

Twice while on tour my old band, Lorenzo Goetz, played at a dive bar in Nashville called the Springwater Supper Club. The name is deceivingly high-brow as this is a pretty trashy joint with a ton of attitude - but charming. While on vacation a few years back, I stopped by just so my wife could see it. We day drank, talked to the locals, played pool and tried to find my band's sticker amongst the hundreds that plaster the walls. It sits just off of Vanderbuilt's campus (right beside the Parthenon) and  has a repuation for touring indie bands. Sort of a best-kept-secret venue that happily offers opportunity for road-weary rockers. And just like that, The Black Keys decided to shoot their latest video there (for "Little Black Submarines"). Check it.
