Real Talk Tuesdays: House of Thaddeus

On Sunday my wife I went to the Art Theatre (our local co-op indie cinema) to watch a local prodcution called House of Thaddeus. It was great to see our friends and peers on the screen and in the audience. The film community has really grown in recent years and we've both been active in that scene when time allows. This stuff is hard work. Bravo to those who dig in and make it happen.

Way Gone Wednesdays: The Hobbit (Soviet Style)

Some of you have probably seen this already - but it came up in conversation again last night so I'm posting it. Back in 1985, the Soviets made The Hobbit into a feature film. The budget looks like it was about twelve dollars (or rubles or whatever). I don't recommend sitting through the entire thing (unles you've got nothing but time) - just skim through and don't miss Gollum or Smaug.
