Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 8:39AM Some of you have probably seen this already - but it came up in conversation again last night so I'm posting it. Back in 1985, the Soviets made The Hobbit into a feature film. The budget looks like it was about twelve dollars (or rubles or whatever). I don't recommend sitting through the entire thing (unles you've got nothing but time) - just skim through and don't miss Gollum or Smaug.
