I don't constantly blog about my family. We all have our own outlets and interests. We're a lucky bunch, really. But today is my wife's 30th birthday and that's worth celebrating. If you know her, then you know what a blessing she is - to her friends, to lovers of good literature, to the theatre community. She's my best friend and I'm so happy that we're gonna grow old together.

This Thursday, The Celebration Company at the Station Theatre in Urbana will open its production of Hamlet by William Shakespeare (arguably the most popular play ever written). The chance to see it in such an intimate setting coupled by the fact that director Mathew Green has paired down the length to a managable 2 hour show is reason enough to go see it. Add the bonus of a modernized setting and casting my bad-ass wife as Hamlet and we've got ourselves a show. Oh yeah - I wrote some music for it.
