Of course everyone knows House of Pain from their enormous hit "Jump Around" (and rightly so). But I bought their self-titled debut on cassette in 1992 at a swap meet. My moment on the album was the guest verse by Son Doobie (of Funkdoobiest) on "House and the Rising Son". Dig.

Throwback Thursdays: Delinquent Habits

With the rise of 90's hip-hop groups like House of Pain and Cypress Hill came Delinquent Habits. The first single hit pretty hard then they, of course, slid into obscurity. Take a peek at the lead-off track complete with a PSA from the Southwest Voter Registration Education Project. It was 1996.
