Remember when Eddie Murphy was the hottest stand up comic on the planet (Delirious, Raw)?  Remember when he made some of the best comic films of all time (Coming to America, Harlem Nights)?  Remember when he teamed up with Rick James and made a dance hit?  I do.  1985 y'all.

Real Talk Tuesdays: Mr. Randy Watson

Coming to America was the first rated R movie I ever saw.  It remains one of my favorite comedies today.  Eddie Murphy has since stopped making good movies, Arsenio Hall has meanwhile proven little worth and Whitney Houston is a mess (but she's getting help).  Despite all that, this scene and this song bring you the following words of wisdom:

 

I believe the children are our future

teach them well and let them lead the way

show them all the beauty they possess inside

 

 

Go hug your kids.
