Real Talk Tuesdays: Dem Atlas

Last week, Rhymesayers announced a new addition to their roster - Minnesota native Dem Atlas. To me, this is a move that the label had to make. Dem is a throwback to the days of Digable Planets, Black Sheep and Tribe. His debut EP, Charlie Brwn, is available here for download. Peep the video for the title track below.

Way Gone Wednesdays: Shabazz Palaces vs. Battles

Anyone familiar with Battles knows that they A) groove like mad and B) produce some of the most titilating instrumental post-rock out there. Shabazz Palaces (who you may remember as "Butterfly" from Digable Planets) remixed the Battles cut "White Electric". This shit goes.
