Madhouse Mondays: Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes
As I mentioned earlier, my son is on summer vacation and I've been waking him up by bursting into his room singing various selections (from multiple decades and genres) at the top of my lungs. Today was "If You Don't Know Me By Now" - made famous in 1988 by Simply Red - but originally recorded by Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes in 1972. I sang this aloud the entrie bike ride this morning (also, I've been biking to work). Dig this appearance on Soul Train and more specifically, dig these goddamn jumpsuits.
