Way Gone Wednesdays
Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 9:14AM I may be late to the party on this but one of my more recent discoveries is the hipster-soul of The Stepkids. Looks like they landed a deal with Madlib's own Stones Throw Records. Dig it. It's way gone.

Way Gone Wednesdays
Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 9:19AM My town is wylin' out. For real. The number of violent crimes has spiked in the past few weeks. Murder, shootings, stabbings, armed robbery, battery, home invasion. The temps go right along with it. Highs in the mid 90s all week. C'mon people. We got to get over before we go under.

Monday, July 18, 2011 at 9:18AM On June 12, 1970 Dock Ellis (Pittsburgh Pirates) pitched a no-hitter against the San Diego Padres. He did it while on acid.

Friday, July 15, 2011 at 8:56AM Jack White and Black Milk. Two great tastes that taste great together. Looks like Third Man Records are dipping their toes into the hip-hop pool. Fine by me.

Feel Good Fridays
Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 8:53AM In the early 80's I spent my entire allowance on Mad Magazine and hip-hop compilations. One such compilation turned me on to a tune called "Pee Wee's Dance" by Joeski Love. Still love this cut. For the video, they even landed Mark Holton (who plays Francis in Pee Wee's Big Adventure). Enjoy.
