Throwback Thursdays: Cole Porter/Bobby Short

This series is usually dedicated to old school hip-hop, but last night just before the Nyquil took me away on my magical sleep journey I caught a bit of Woody Allen's 1986 classic, Hannah and Her Sisters. I first saw this in film class my sophomore year of college. Still love this story. Here's Danville native Bobby Short gettin' down on the Cole Porter tune, "I'm In Love". Dig.

Real Talk Tuesdays: Wes Anderson

Took the family to see the new Wes Anderson flick, Moonrise Kingdom. It was excellent and Anderson continues to build on his already solid body of work. Even amongst my favorite storytellers (Spike Lee, Woody Allen, Coen Brothers, Tarantino, Chan-wook Park) his filmography just might be the most consistent.  Dig the reel and tell me I'm wrong.
