Madhouse Mondays: Dynas & Tony Galvin ft. Slick Rick

Great classic Rick flows plus a zany animated video? Yes please. Dig it.

Throwback Thursdays: Slick Rick

Slick Rick is one of the best storytellers of all time (not to mention one of the best voices in hip-hop). Dig this tale of missteps in love from 1991. He's so dope he samples himself for the hook.

Feel Good Fridays: Slick Rick

Need a boost to help thrust you into the weekend? DJ Jimmy Plates has just the thing. A super-fresh live vinyl mix of Slick Rick tunes. Herrrrrrrrrre we go.....

Throwback Thursdays: Slick Rick

Slick Rick was (is?) the greatest storyteller in hip-hop. In the 80's the culture itself was exotic and new but Ricky D trumped all of that with his accent, eye patch, excessive gold and yarn-spinning chops. Dig the classic "Children's Story".

Throwback Thursdays: Doug E. Fresh/Slick Rick

Doug E. Fresh  (a.k.a. The Human Beatbox) is still one of the best to ever do it.   Doug hit the scene in the early 80's with The Get Fresh Crew which included a British rapper by the name of MC Ricky D - we would later know him as Slick Rick.  The Crew gave us the hip-hop classic "La-Di-Da-Di" as well as "The Show".  In fact, these two singles were released on the same 12" in 1985.  Unreal.
