Finally got to see Sinkane this week. Ahmed and the boys put on a flawless show. Ultra-hipster soul with reggae elements. Dig this PHON.O remix of "Jeeper Creeper". Hotness.
DJ Preservation has taken the Mos Def instant classic "Quiet Dog Bite Hard" from his 2009 release, The Estatic - and given it new life. Easily one of my favorite Mos Def tunes (or do I have to call him Yasiin Bey now?) so I listened with reservations but it still grooves. Dig.
Producer/DJ Drew Lutsman took the Mos Def classic "Umi Says" and put that thump in it. This should help you ring in the weekend. Dig.
Dig this Yoroku Saki Remix of "Stop in the Name of Love" by The Supremes. Boom.
Here's a Sitcom Remix of Herman Kelly's "Let's Dance to the Drummer's Beat" featuring all your favorite sitcom heros (Foxx, Cosboy, Rerun, Urkel, Carlton, and more). Good times.
