I first saw Phillip Seymour Hoffman in 1992 as George Willis Jr. in Scent of a Woman. But it was his role as Scotty in Boogie Nights that first struck me as brilliant. Over time he would be come my favorite actor. So saddened by his passing - in such a foolish and destructive fashion. Fuck heroin.
