Throwback Thursdays: The Wailers

Way back in 1963 a fresh Jamacian group (with some help from the legendary Skatalites) recorded their first big hit, "Simmer Down". The group was The Wailers - which featured a young singer by the name of Bob Marley. This is long before the dreads, the political unrest, the world-wide fame and soccer injuries. I could listen to this song every day. If you really need a ska fix, dig this double feature documentary (big ups to egotripland).
