Way Gone Wednesdays: R.I.P. Uggie

If you saw the 2011 stunner The Artist, then you remember the scene stealer known as Uggie the dog. Unfortunately, I woke today to news that Uggie had to be put down. Let's pour one out for this guy and watch some of his best clips.

Way Gone Wednesdays: Menthol

Menthol split their time between Champaign-Urbana and Chicago during their heyday in the late 90's and early aughts. They were among the 'local-boys-make-good-but-then-find-out-why-major-labels-suck' set. Still one of my favorites and I think "Strange Living" is one of the best songs to come out of this area. Let this bump.

Way Gone Wednesdays: Blueprint

My man Blueprint has steady been on the grind for years now. And by the looks of it, it'll stay that way. I have so much respect for 'Print (and his touring partner DJ Rare Groove). Watch the hustle first hand with their video for "Persevere" (directed by GRMM).

Way Gone Wednesdays: Thundercat

Thundercat has some deep flavors. Glad to see him having more presence these days. Definitely deserves it. Dig this cut (video directed by Carlos Lopez Estrada) - it's Way Gone.

Way Gone Wednesdays: Uptown Funk Newsies

I don't care what kind of day you're having - this will put a smile on your face. Go.
