Madhouse Mondays: Porcupine Racetrack

Larry in Ken Marino, Kerri Kenny, MTV, Madhouse Mondays, Michael Ian Black, Michael Showalter, Porcupine Racetrack, Reno 911!, The State, Thomas Lennon, Video, Viva Variety, Wet Hot American Summer

Before Reno 911!, before Viva Variety, before cult comedies like Wet Hot American Summer there was a sketch comedy troupe called The State. Airing on MTV from 1993-95, The State launched the careers of several funny men and women (Michael Ian Black, Thomas Lennon, Ken Marino, Michael Showalter and Kerri Kenney among others). Their crowning acheivement, in my opinion, has always been the Oklahoma-esque, "Porucpine Racetrack". Enjoy.
