In 1978, George Lucas thought it would be a good idea to capitalize on the popularity of Star Wars and release a made-for-TV holiday special. I remember walking into my aunt's house and catching the last 5 minutes and after that, I never saw it again (rumor has it, Lucas was so embarassed by it that he ordered all copies destroyed).
